Reviews (1)
Pleasant Nordic downtempo on the Athome Project's eponymous debut. And while there's nothing to complain about with the Jacobsen's bass-driven "Miles Around" or the soul-groove of "A Feeling of Care," nothing really stands out either. The wooden thuds of "Heaven or Hell" eventually peter out, but "Analogue Acoustics" speeds up the rhythm a bit. (Interestingly enough, "Slow Train" is not slow at all, while "Everything Changes" has a slow dub chug.) Nice, but bland. On the bonus remix disc, Röyksopp deliver an epic 16-minute remix of "A Feeling of Care" by upping the electro and funk quotients early on and then bringing in the long melodic tones and breaks about 2/3s of the way through. It's better than anything on the album. Universal Funk's heavier mix of "The Spy" also livens up an otherwise okay track.
