I disagree with all of the comments about the quality of this box set. I have owned this since its release & play it a lot & the sound quality is very good considering it's 192 kbps. If you want to own all the electro albums this is a bargain!

Loni
Completely agree... This is the music I grew up to.. Bought almost every single track on these albums and had bought most of the Electro series on release!! just wish I never sold em now (Electro series that is) :( BUT!! this is a great interim... and a reminder of a great series ;)

Trouble is, someone paid £100 for this on Discogs Marketplace, which it is in no way worth, let alone the minimum £70 cheapest copy currently for sale on there!

Oparae
I bought this after seeing it on Juno and thinking what a bargain it was for around £30. That was until I played the MP3 CDs on my computer and found every track to be 192 kbps quality MP3s. I was very dissappointed, so promptly put it on Discogs marketplace and quickly made back what I paid. It was not even an official release!, dodgy as hell. I'd now rather wait for Morgan Khan to reissue the whole series of albums himself in far better quality.

Vutaur
If only hd quality.

Gholbimand
Problem is Morgan doesn't have the copyright issues sorted to put these albums out ever again.. if you want copies of these electro albums from 1 to 22 (crucial series not included) this set is the one to get...I actually think this set came from the master tapes...I have many digital rips of these albums plus all the original vinyls and cassettes..these are the cleanest versions out there....I'm telling you this set has no additional vinyl noise other than the original static from the original vinyl mix when the albums were created. Street sounds went bust end of 80's the original album masters got into the hands of bootleggers or other labels that bought the rights...here is the result of that....these are only mp3 but of exceptional quality they are not ripped from the original vinyls. They sound like the masters or a master clone to my ears. If only they were of lossless or he quality.

Skyway
Like scottb said, not the best quality considering these lps were remastered & restored. 192kbit/s that sucks, at least 320kbit/s that would be ok. Had I known that before, I would not have bought it.

Gralmeena
If your CD player can play mp3s then, yes they will work. Mine sound better played in my car than on my DVD player. I don't buy junk so not sure why the difference.

MisTereO
I have to say the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. I am not too sure about the differences between the different sound rates i.e 192/ 320 etc....I guess the higher the bitrate the better the quality compression. Its the compression ratio I guess. Also I noticed the music tends to play out of one speaker only. but despite that a great collection to be had if you are an elektro fan as I am. Hope that helps. I would not pay more than £40 for the set knowing what I know now to be honest although I have seen it go for hundreds of pounds on ebay etc.

Yozshunris
hi, I see your comment on the streetsounds ultimate boxset..ive considered buying it many times.all I see is bad reviews on it, please can you tell me....1. can it be played on cd player? 2. what did mean by 192kbit/s? look forward bto your email. regards symon.

huckman
Would you like to sell it on?? I am looking for this set at a reasonable price.

Samugor
Not the best quality considering these lps were remastered & restored, but a great package for reference.
